I understand that it is typically bad etiquette to write anything on the invitation regarding gifts.  But since my Fiance is from Canada and the wedding is in California he would like me to include a no gift phrase because he does not want them to feel obligated to spend extra money.

My future in laws are not paying for anything for our wedding, but since we are getting married in the city they live in, they have been the ones to check out venues, and get prices for everything.
